Calm gives you a brief reprieve by banishing the guardian on a single floor, allowing you to focus solely on room hazards. I only recommend picking this up late in your run, especially if you plan to visit the Inferno.

Yes, this is probably S Tier if you have the Deluxe Whip, but chances are you won't be running with that whip 24/7 (and I personally find it to be a cheap and boring strategy). You'll be spending most of your game trying to AVOID fall damage, and if you're a particularly skilled player who knows how to roll, grapple, or use the Wings and Double Jump blessings to halt your fall, you should never see this blessing come into effect. This is essentially Lucky, but worse as it only blocks one specific type of damage.

is a bad little game. I think it’s quite well made, and it has a great batch of ideas behind it. I think it executes on its vision to the letter, but that that vision will only appeal to a specific audience.

Lucky can save you in a pinch, but the random 5% activation chance makes it less consistent than receiving a straight health upgrade, or a good movement upgrade that would help you avoid taking damage in the first place.

If you’re a fan of retro platformers, then this action-adventure game may still be worth checking out, but, unless you have a burning desire to play, it’s hard to fully recommend

Intrepid adventurers will dodge scores of hidden traps, leap treacherous chasms, and flee relentless guardians through branching paths until one of the relics are claimed or the devices of death overwhelm them. Each temple run is a blind charge through a procedurally generated funhouse Phantom Abyss Speedrun murder dungeon. These dungeons range in challenge from ‘leisurely, unhurried jog’ to ‘holy shit what the fuck’. Traps include everything from spike walls to bottomless pits, whirling blades and flying bombs, falling blocks and poison darts, and more. Depending on the level, there might even be a chance for an enemy to spawn, a protector of the temple’s treasure that harries the players at every turn.
